Mezcal Paloma Sour
This cocktail came about in the Winter at the peak of citrus season. My aim was to celebrate citrus in a unique way that was still a sort of nod to traditional tastes. The result was a slightly smokey tequila drink with an acidic bite and a silky mouthfeel.
Mezcal Paloma Sour
Ingredients
1.5 oz Blanco Tequila
.5 oz Mezcal
.5 oz Lime Juice
.5 oz Agave Nectar
1 oz Grapefruit Juice
1/2 egg white
Top with Soda Water
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a shaker tin with no ice and dry shake vigorously for 15 seconds
Open tin and add ice
Shake again for another 10 seconds
strain into a rocks glass with a large cube or into a chilled coupe glass.
Top with a splash of soda water, garnish with a lime, and enjoy!
