Matchmaker

Make Me a Match

The Matchmaker was a drink that I created for the Walton Arts Center during their showing of the Broadway show “Fiddler on the Roof”.

For this drink, I wanted something light and traditionally feminine. I opted for a honey vodka to be the base. What is honey vodka? Literally honey dissolved in vodka. Just take your vodka and add honey until it has a prominent honey flavor. A honey syrup would have worked just as well, but “honey-infused” sells better.

I built off of this foundation with elderflower liqueur, grapefruit liqueur, orange juice and soda water to create a light, bright, semi-sweet cocktail that is far too easy to drink over and over again.
