The Satine

Bright, Vibrant, Elegant

This drink was created for Walton Arts center’s Broadway series showing of Moulin Rouge. My inspiration for this drink was to be a brighter and more elegant variation of a french martini

I use apple vodka to round out the fruit flavors. By acid adjusting pineapple juice, i’m able to control the sweetness a bit better. Finally, the last change I added was to use a touch of rose water to make add a delicate and elegant floral note to the drink.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz apple vodka

  • .5 oz raspberry liqueur

  • 2 oz acid adjusted pineapple juice

  • 2 drops rose water

  • top with soda water


Instructions

  1. In a shaker tin, add the apple vodka, raspberry liqueur, pineapple, and rosewater.

  2. Fill tin with ice, close the tin, and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds.

  3. Strain into either a coupe or martini glass.

  4. Top with a splash of soda water and garnish with either a picked raspberry or a rose petal.
