Salted Caramel Eggnog

This one sort of started during my time as a pastry chef. One of my passions was making various ice creams. More specifically, I enjoyed making alcoholic ice creams and frozen desserts.

One of my all-time favorite desserts I made was an affogato with a house made Frangelico ice cream and a salted caramel sauce. With this in mind I tried to translate it into an eggnog for this year’s holiday pop-up.

Salted Caramel Eggnog

Ingredients

  • 3 oz bourbon

  • 2 oz dark rum

  • 2 oz Frangelico

  • .25 cup salted caramel

  • 3 cups melted vanilla ice cream

  • 2 oz brown sugar syrup

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp allspice

Instructions

  • Combine the spices and all liquor and allow to sit overnight.

  • The following day, combine all ingredients.

  • Store under refrigeration for 2 weeks
