The Razzle Dazzle
Razzle-Dazzle ‘em
Inspired by available spirits and drink structure of the prohibition era, when Chicago takes place. This cocktail is designed to be a rich and flavorful drink with Canadian whiskey as its base.
This drink is a straight forward cocktail with no crazy ingredients. The grenadine is just a standard 1:1 ratio for true grenadine. Cherry grenadine is a byproduct of the cheapening of the bar industry. Its supposed to be equal parts pomegranate and sugar with an optional splash of orange blossom water.
Ingredients
1.5 oz Canadian Whiskey
.5 oz dry orange curacao
.75 oz pomegranate grenadine
.75 oz orange juice
1-2 dashes angostura bitters
Instructions
Combine all ingredients into a shaker tin.
Fill with ice, close the tin, then shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds.
Strain in to a rocks glass over fresh ice.
